STEM resources are out there! Virtual STEM resources… well, that’s where I find them… online. When delivering STEM instruction, if you have a starting place for merely an idea….. that’s all you need to start. Here you will find a list of OVER 50 STEM resources that can be used to begin STEM lessons, activities, and projects. Many of these STEM resources are already in the project format, just apply a design process! Take a look at a few of them!
STEM resource project ideas
Here you go! This amazing resource, Purple Plow, is a compilation of driving questions for STEM projects. WOW… that’s all I can say! Each project includes direct NGSS standards that are correlated and provides background knowledge for students to begin research. While materials are required in many of the projects, that doesn’t mean your students can’t go through the process! They can get all the way to create or prototype, and YOU could build for them if materials aren’t available for the project! Many projects focus on global problems, and there is even an on-going contest with application submission for students! STEM resources are out there if you look… wait, now you don’t have to!
Britannica Extension
This STEM resource is totally a must for any project you may undertake! Just download and add the Britannica extension to chrome! Have your students do the same! Adding an extension to Chrome is a must-know tech skill! Remote teaching teacher life only gets better with extensions! This is one is a must have for research!!! Creative Educator STEM Resource
Need some fresh ideas, teacher? The Creative Educator will have your mouth watering with all the lesson ideas and topics. I love the interface layout of each lesson. A video or book is always a starter for each STEM lesson. Your questions are included for students and even PDF downloads which can be uploaded to your delivery component like Google Classroom! How cool is this STEM resource? Students can calculate the benefits of trees….. ahem… in their own area!!!! Bring light to the value of a tree with The National Tree Benefit Calculator. STEM resources have always been online and able to be accessed virtually for students…. you just need to be pointed in the right direction! I know, I know. It’s a trend. Let me just say this. This trend of creating a virtual classroom is something your students know how to use! Gaming interfaces are for sure in your students’ skill set. Creating a virtual classroom and linking all the STEM resources your students will need is a WIN WIN for you!
