STEM Christmas lists are great to stock the classroom up and get ready for the new year! This list includes all my must haves! Whether you are working remotely or in the classroom, I can’t live without these STEM items!!! So let’s get at it!!!
So I have recently just fallen in love with my Turing Tumble Mechanical Computer! Coding a program can be difficult to understand what is exactly happening. Being able to get hands on with coding helps students to understand what they are actually doing! I have this product in my classroom, but you can totally use this remotely by challenging students to tell you what to do. When they make and create a successful program and see it work flawlessly…. it’s pure MAGIC!
Next up is the newest fidget item to hit the market… Otoblocs Jr.! Not only are these the coolest fidget toys for the busy mind, but have some endless color combinations and can be combined for STEM/STEAM challenges! Each set of OTO Jr. Fidget Blocks™ consists of three interlocking blocks that resemble two ‘O’s and one ‘T’ shape. The color choices are vibrant so students will immediately be attracted and intrigued. On my STEM Christmas list and restock the classroom for 2021 for sure!!!
Lighting for Sensory Calming and Creativity
If you know me, you know I can’t live without all my lighting apparatuses! I love a simple roll of tape LED lights, and you can get the exact set that I use in my classroom right here from my Amazon store! My absolute newest favorite addition to my classroom is my sensory bubble tube! This thing brings me so much joy. Can I just say this would look amazing behind you when you are teaching remotely? Put these two items on your STEM Christmas list and make 2021 look brighter!
If you are teaching in person, these items just make the feel in your classroom simply cool and calm! Creativity just blossoms with LED lighting all over your classroom…. and by the way, during seasonal times of the year you can match the colors to the seasons!!
These Two STEM Christmas List Items Make YOU Look Amazing
First of all, if you don’t have the Sick Science Super Size Demo Kit…. you are making life hard! You can seriously wow students into loving science! Remote teachers…. this should be a must have! No need to go find all this stuff to do science demos with, it’s right in this kit for you with explanations! I can’t live without this kit! My students think I am some kind of science wizard. If you put anything on your STEM Christmas list… put this one for sure!!!
My next can’t live without item are Kwik Stix paint sticks! I make the brightest and boldest charts and posters with ease with these bad boys! No need to print anything! Just grab your Kwik Stix and create! Recently, I ordered 3 packs at the request of my students so that they could have a station with them! Everybody loves these things!
People… I have been using the OSMO Genius Kit with my iPads for years. It just keeps getting better. There are no students from K-5 that do not LOVE it! I just can’t tell you enough how wonderful this HANDS-ON tech application and kits are! Students find new learning constantly! It supports math, art, creativity, critical thinking, and language all in one!!! Get it now! If you don’t have one for your own children, get it!!!
This next product needs no introduction. Mr. Sketch will forever be a teacher’s best friend, and if you haven’t put these on STEM Christmas wish list… you should always have it on there!!!
My New Loves…
So I have recently started using the large Post-It Chart Paper with Grid Lines for myself and student designs! Wow! Students love designing on this paper, and just love being able to model with it!!! Watch for them to go on sale and get 2 or 3!!
I am obsessed with loose parts play sets these days! There are so many great ones on Etsy, but this set of Branch Blocks is gorgeous! I love having these in my classroom! These shapes and feel are simply wonderful! Put these two items on your STEM Christmas List NOW!!
